The Whatcom Dream and Shadow’s Forever Friends are united by a commitment to fostering stability, dignity, and resilience within our community. By addressing the root causes of poverty while simultaneously removing the barriers to pet ownership, we create a stronger, more compassionate foundation for every family we serve.
This unique partnership, and the desire for it to grow stronger, is the main reason we are combining efforts for the 2026 Furways for Financial Empowerment Golf Event.
At the heart of our partnership is a dedication to financial literacy and empowerment. We provide the tools, education, and mentorship necessary for individuals to break the cycle of poverty and achieve long-term economic independence. We recognize that financial crises often force heartbreaking choices; we strive to ensure that a lack of resources never means the inability to care for our "forever friends."
