John Sykes joined The Whatcom Dream with the vision of offering financial literacy opportunities for all residents of Whatcom County. He facilitates our program with experience and integrity.

He is also responsible for expansion possibilities into new markets and John's specialty is knowledge of senior citizen related financial concerns.
Spanish Curriculum Developer and Class Facilitator
Born and raised in Costa Rica, Francisco Ulate manages all of our classes for Spanish Speaking Whatcom County residents. Francisco has a very positive attitude that tends to be infectious to those around him. He is deeply committed to helping others move forward to a better quality of life.
Class Facilitator/One on One Financial Coach
Kevin Stray brings a long held passion for helping others with their money to The Whatcom Dream. He particularly excels at one on one coaching and working with couples and families. His demeanor is open, encouraging and friendly.

Michael DeFrank is an invaluable team member. His years of fundraising at The University of Texas bring the necessary skills to the forefront in helping our organization grow and succeed.
Official Whatcom Dream Mascot
Originally from Sacramento, this special pup brings acceptance, kindness and love to our organization. Emma is a daily reminder for all of us that our past experiences, financial or otherwise, do not necessarily have to determine our future.
