Kate Mellema
My decision to become involved with TWD came from personally witnessing the positive affects TWD program had on Trudy Shuravloff (current TWD Executive Director) and her husband John Shuravloff. Characteristics that I most appreciate about TWD program are that it teaches practical skills, it s available to anyone, and meets the needs of Whatcom County residents. Programs like TWD are particularly important during these challenging economic times. The tools that TWD teaches are invaluable in helping people get a grasp on their spending habits. TWD program teaches individuals to make good financial decisions.
